The protagonist of YuYu Hakusho debuted on April 4, 2012 in the initial Elimination Chamber as one of the beginning two participants. Despite surviving for just overten minutes, he was the third to be eliminated, scoring no eliminations in the process. He truly displayed his wrestling prowess in the inaugural Royal Rumble as entrant number four. Kurama survived in the ring far longer than most other participants, garnering eliminations of Frieza, Snow Villiers, Android 17, and Kuwabara before being the eleventh man to be eliminated.
Just as he was gaining momentum from the Royal Rumble and the elimination chamber, Yoko Kurama never appeared again in the M4G-Nation.

- Distracted by a discussion about Pikachu's electrical powers pertaining to the Elimination Chamber, the commentary booth did not notice Yoko Kurama performing his finishing maneuver on Broly, and therefore, never announced the name of his finisher to the audience.
- Out of the three characters who only appeared in the first Elimination Chamber and Royal Rumble (including Broly and Pikachu), Kurama has eliminated the most competitors with four.
